I Fell In Love..

Darkness wafted around me, as I sat cross-legged on the floor, facing the dull grey walls of the prison cell. All that provided light for me was the sun filtering through the barred window above me, and even that slightest amount of light coming through it was blocked out by a trespassing cloud. I closed my eyes, and clenched my fists in anger as I thought back to how I managed to be a victim of this isolated prison cell. Slowly, my eyes begun to swell with water, and a tear ran down my cheek.
There was a sudden sound of footsteps behind me, and they became louder and louder as they approached my jail cell. I knew perfectly well who this person would be. Gritting my teeth with pure anger, I stormed towards the jail iron bars, gripping onto them as if I were about to break them apart any minute now.
“Hey, hey, hey! Look who’s woken up on the wrong side of the bed this morning!” The man said. He then looked around the rusty, worn out jail cell with a disgusted look, and then glanced at the straw bed scattered on the floor. “Lets me rephrase that – Look who woke up on the wrong side of the pile of straws this morning” He said again, not taking his eyes of the stack of straws and the pillow on the floor.
This man was the person who had persuaded the police to trap me up into this jail, and he was one who had taken all the freedom and joy I was to have experienced when I had entered this new town.
“What makes you think you can joke around in this situation here?!” I hissed
“Whoa, you’re pretty agitated this morning,” he replied
“What in the world makes you think I would be calm when I’m locked up in an isolated grey box of a prison cell for no reason whatsoever?!” I yelled “And who do you think you are?! It was because of you spreading lies around the whole of this city that I’m in here right now! What did I ever do to you to make you think I deserve to be thrown into this cell for something I didn’t even do?!”
“Since when did you think I was the one telling everyone that you were a killer, and a vampire?”
“Ever since you smirked at me while I was being locked up! Ever since you clearly made out that you were enjoying every little second of it, while I was crying inside. While I was watching you betray me, Jason.” I cried
Jason looked at the floor, and fiddled with his fingers, digging the tip of his shoe into the floor. He looked up with despair, his green eyes twinkling and sad. I actually felt sorry for him for that short moment, but then the sudden memory of him laughing at me as I was being chucked into the cell rushed into my head, and my anger for him buzzed inside me like a wasp’s nest.
“I didn’t mean to betray you Hannah! I would never do that to you!” Jason said, his voice sounding shaky
“Then why did you?” I whispered, tears beginning to fill in my eyes.
He closed his eyes, took a deep breath and then eventually said, “That’s something I can’t tell you.” He tried to make his voice serious and stern, but it was shaking as if he was about to cry.
“I thought you would have been better than this Jason,” I said, shaking my head as a tear ran down my cheek
“No, Hannah, please don’t cry, I didn’t mean for all this to happen, it just that...” He reached out to wipe away the tear from my cheek, but I slapped his hand away
“Don’t you dare touch me!” I cried
Jason hesitated, obviously offended by how I’d rejected his small offer of kindness, and then walked off
“And make sure you never come back. Again.” I said as he walked away
